Mr. Tulsi Kumar Gurung is a highly decorated and accomplished individual, whose life story embodies sacrifice, patriotism, and an unwavering determination to serve and protect others. Born in Nepal, Mr. Tulsi Kumar Gurung’s journey started with his enlistment in the British Army as a Gurkha soldier. Throughout his career, Mr. Gurung exemplified the true essence of a warrior, displaying immense courage, discipline, and skill in every endeavor he undertook. He represented Hong Kong, the British Army, and Nepal in the international taekwondo Championships, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication in to martial arts. 

As the head coach of the Hong Kong National Team from 2013 to 2018, Mr. Gurung played a pivotal role in nurturing and developing taekwondo talent in the region, leaving a lasting impact on the sport. His passion for martial arts and physical fitness is undeniable, as evidenced by his remarkable achievement of holding an 8th-degree black belt in taekwwondo. After retiring from the British Army, Mr. Gurung devoted his time and energy to social work, recognizing the importance of giving back to society.

Mr. Gurung has achieved notable recognition and accomplishments throughout his career as a sports coach and social worker. He has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to the field of sports coaching and social work. One of his notable recognition includes being awarded the Prabal Jansewa Shree from the Rt. Honorable President of Nepal, Mrs. Bidhya Devi Bhandari, in the year 2020. 

With a deep commitment to rebuilding Nepal after the devastating earthquake, Mr. Gurung led the establishment of the We Will Rise Foundation, channeling his passion for positive change into action.
